The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series from RENNtech is a beast that is a pleasure to drive
The tuner has worked on the Black Series version of the model, the most striking of all those produced by Mercedes, and this is how this variant has turned out.

The Mercedes-AMG GT is an old acquaintance of ours and one of the most attractive cars in the German brand’s lineup. But it is also a model that often passes through tuners’ workshops. In the case of RENNtech, the professionals at this company have worked with the Black Series on different models. Now it is the turn of the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, which will offer users more power and a spicier edge, if that is even possible.
The AMG GT R has already been through RENNtech’s workshops, and now it is the turn of this variant, which managed to beat its predecessor at the Nürburgring. In addition to all the improvements over the factory model with the Black Series package, the tuner has added other elements such as Machine Black wheels.

These wheels have a colour very similar to the bodywork, with decorative orange accents. These create a very intense and pleasing contrast to the eye. A roll cage in the same eye-catching orange has also been added, along with four-point safety harnesses from Sabelt and Schroth and an emergency fire extinguisher.

But the most important changes are under the bonnet. The change to the ECU software has been accompanied by two new turbochargers. The downpipes have also been changed, now made of stainless steel, along with exhaust valves, and BMC air filters have been installed. The model’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine produces 1,051 CV of power and torque of 1,127 Nm. The original engine offers 730 CV of power and a maximum torque of 800 Nm.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series modified by RENNTech is already available for the United States, European and Asian markets, although the price of the conversion has not been announced. What we do know is that it is not cheap, but also that owners of a Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series will not be too bothered by that.
