The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 will be unveiled on 17 April

On 17 April at 14:00 the first production, fully electric model from the luxury brand will be unveiled. Mercedes-Benz has chosen the Mercedes Me Media platform to present, online, the new Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680. In addition, it can be experienced during the Shanghai Auto Show.

The new Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 will have a combined consumption of approximately 24.4-22.5 kWh/100 km and will set new benchmarks in the era of electric mobility. The SUV is based on the technology of the Mercedes-Benz EQS, which blends seamlessly with Maybach luxury with the aim of delivering a first-class electric driving experience.

Alongside the live show in Shanghai, the video of the global digital premiere will be presented to the public and attendees on the Mercedes me media platform and across the numerous Mercedes-Benz channels on YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter.

Can we wait until 17 April?

We will have to wait a few more weeks to learn all the details of the new luxury electric SUV. In the meantime, we can use the data for the Mercedes-Benz EQS as a reference to get an idea. The model is equipped with a battery with a usable capacity of 108 kWh, which allows a range of up to 660 km on a single charge for the single-motor version; in the 4MATIC versions the range almost reaches 600 km, with 598 km for the EQS SUV 450 and 595 km for the EQS SUV 4MATIC.

If it uses the same platform, the new Maybach will probably measure more than 5.1 metres in length and will offer the option of a third row of seats for seven occupants, which will make it a model with very few rivals on the market.
