The MG 6 will land in Spain in 2011

Information about the new MG 6 continues to trickle out. The other day we brought you the first official photos of the model and SAIC’s plans to build it in the United Kingdom. Well, it now seems that the brand has announced that the MG 6 will reach Spain by 2011, specifically in the first quarter of 2011.

For the moment we don’t know who the importer will be or whether the Ssangyong dealer network will be used, or whether another company will bring the MG 6 in. But one thing we are sure of is that the units sold in Spain will be the ones built in the United Kingdom, production of which will start at the end of 2010 (until then they will be built in China for the local market).

On the other hand, the range of engines it will arrive in Spain with will be the same as it currently offers, that is, the naturally aspirated 1.8 which has a power output of 135 CV, and in the turbocharged version it goes up to 180 CV. As for diesel engines, it is currently unknown whether a diesel powertrain could be offered in the medium term.
