The Mini Clubvan Concept goes into production
Mini has announced that the Clubvan Concept has been approved for production.

A few months ago we showed you something very particular from the flood of versions that are eventually revealed for the Mini: the Clubvan Concept, a dedicated version for light loads, removing the part intended for the rear seats, leaving the Mini as a van.
If you thought it was a design exercise by some Mini designer who just wanted to kill time, well, no, because Mini has just announced that the Clubvan Concept goes into production. There are still no details about the launch, nor when it will reach dealerships, but it will be sold worldwide, including the US and Europe.
As I said before, I’m not entirely convinced by the idea. It’s true that many small businesses or traders would die for a “cargo” Mini, although the price is surely not going to be very “commercial”, to put it mildly. Even so, it’s no surprise that businesses and even large companies might rely on fleets of small vans like this Mini to carry out their work, given the crisis.
Its price advantage over a Ford Tourneo or a Mercedes Citan will certainly be noticeable.
