The MINI John Cooper Works Countryman receives aesthetic updates and is set to arrive in November
The MINI Countryman has recently received aesthetic and technological updates, and these now reach the sportiest version, the John Cooper Works Countryman

Just over a year ago the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman, alongside the Clubman, received an update to its exterior and interior styling, but now the MINI JCW Countryman has once again been revised, largely in line with the changes we saw just a month ago on the standard Countryman. As you can imagine, these changes are small, and we will almost have to play spot the difference to find them.
First, starting with the exterior, the front grille adopts a new look by removing the red trim that surrounded it and adopting a thinner line, also in red, that runs across it from side to side. On both sides of the grille, as on the rest of the Countryman range, the John Cooper Works version also has the lines of the front LED light cluster styled, accentuating the light signature provided by the integrated daytime running lights.

At the rear, the changes also align the car with the rest of the Countryman range, so the rear light cluster is now LED and continues to feature the Union Jack as its signature, but now with greater prominence thanks to this technology. The opportunity was also taken to expand the colour palette with the new Silver Blanco metallic and Sage Green metallic, and to add the Piano Black exterior option, which turns the headlight surrounds, rear lights, radiator grille, door handles and model name from chrome to gloss black.
Inside there are also small changes, focused mainly on upgrading the technology equipment. To that end, the driver’s instrument panel becomes a digital display as standard, with a 5-inch diameter, while the 8.8-inch screen for the infotainment system now features a bezel and touch-sensitive control panels with high-gloss Piano Black surfaces.

Where nothing has changed is under the bonnet, where we will still find a four-cylinder 2,000 cc turbo engine producing 306 CV together with 450 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox that sends power permanently to all four wheels through the ALL4 system. Thanks to this, the MINI JCW Countryman can accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, with a combined consumption of around 7.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 166 g/km.
For now MINI has not announced the price of the new John Cooper Works Countryman, but it has said that sales will begin next November.
