The Museo Ferrari in Maranello pays tribute to Schumacher with a spectacular exhibition

The life and career of Michael Schumacher, who suffered a serious skiing accident in 2013, is the focus of an exhibition at the Museo Ferrari

Few drivers have a record like Michael Schumacher’s, a true Formula 1 legend. Five years ago, a serious skiing accident brought his career in the sport to a halt, and we have known little about him since. His state of health does not go beyond the limits of his family, and that is as it should be. But his sporting career is something that belongs to all of us who follow this thrilling sport, and everything he achieved must be emphasised. That is why, if you visit the Museo Ferrari in Maranello, you can see the exhibition prepared to celebrate his 50th birthday.

The 91 victories, 155 podiums and seven world titles, two with the Benetton team and five under the banner of Ferrari, serve as the reason to admire an exhibition that brings together the single-seaters driven by the German throughout his career. The title of the exhibition is “Michael 50“, and it lets visitors discover all the milestones achieved by Schumacher during the years he competed at the wheel of the red cars.

In the “Hall of Victories” section are all those single-seaters, which can be admired up close and which retain the special aura that helped make Schumacher part of history. Among these cars is the Ferrari F310, which he drove in 1996 and with which he achieved three victories. You can also see the Ferrari F399, with which the Italian marque won the Constructors’ title in 1996.

The Ferrari F1-2000, with which Schumacher won his first title with Ferrari, stands alongside the F2002, the F2004 and the 248 F1 from 2006, with which the driver scored his 72nd victory for the Italian marque. But he did not only drive his way to success and triumph; he also helped design two Ferrari cars, the 430 Scuderia and the California, which can also be seen in the exhibition.

The Museo Ferrari does not only offer this exhibition; its rooms also house ‘Driven by Enzo‘ and ‘Passion and Legend‘, so a visit to this institution, which preserves the legacy of Ferrari, can become a true experience for those lucky enough to come to it.
