The National Police adds a thousand Citroën C4 Picasso to its fleet
The Citroën C4 Picasso BlueHDi 120 S&S EAT6 has been chosen to join the “Z” vehicle fleet of the National Police, which has added 942 units of this model, suitably equipped to fulfil its public service function

The National Police has added 984 units of the Citroën C4 Picasso BlueHDi 120 S&S EAT6 to its car fleet, which will gradually enter service over the coming months. This model has been chosen to replace the 800 Citroën C4 Picasso that have been in service since 2011 and have already fulfilled their duties in the service of the public.
These new vehicles for the National Police were handed over at an event held in Madrid, attended by the Minister of the Interior, force officials and company representatives. This Citroën C4 Picasso BlueHDi 12 S&S EAT6 is built entirely in Spain, at the plant that PSA Peugeot Citroën operates in Vigo.
To homologate it as a police vehicle, the well-known Z cars were fitted out with the help of the company Tecnove, which prepared the car by adding the optical-acoustic warning equipment, the kit for transporting detainees and the vehicle livery with the corporate image.

The model was chosen after a long relationship between the National Police and other Citroën models. In fact, the vehicles it replaces are also Citroën C4, and the relationship began with the introduction of the Citroën BX and several units of the Xsara Picasso. Today, a car still produced in Spain has been chosen to join its fleet.
The Citroën C4 Picasso features a BlueHDi engine paired with an automatic gearbox with torque converter, with a consumption of 3.8 litres per 100 kilometres and emissions of 100 g/km. With these figures and the 120 CV output, it is a car that is both practical and well suited to the duties it must perform in service.
