The new BMW 3 Series ($0) is already priced in Spain

The new BMW 3 SeriesBMW is already priced in Spain. This mid-cycle update arrives for the G20 generation in saloon form and the G21 in Touring form, which reached the market in early 2019. Now, three and a half years later, the Bavarian brand has put this restyling on sale, which “gives fresh air” to the model both inside and out.

It is already available at dealerships, and today we are going to look at the official prices of each of the mechanical versions. What’s new in the legendary BMW saloon? The front end has been revised and the main light units have been modified, as well as the grille which, for now, has not grown larger, as in the BMW X7.

The air intakes have also grown, and black takes on a large part of the prominence, but everything will depend on the trim you choose. At the rear, there are fewer new features; you will only find one on the bumper, and only if you look very closely.

Once inside, you can enjoy a huge 12.3-inch curved screen that manages the instrument cluster, and a 14.9-inch one for the information and entertainment system. Either way, the visual presence changes completely. Something that does not quite convince us is the inclusion of the climate control in the screen.

The gear selector has also been modified and replaced by a small pushbutton, very similar to the one used by the Volkswagen Group. As for the mechanical range, the new 2022 BMW 3 Series is available with petrol, diesel, mild-hybrid and even plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engines. All options are linked to an automatic gearbox and, depending on the version, will be rear-wheel drive or xDrive all-wheel drive.

Focusing on the diesel versions, all of them are mild hybrids, and there are four versions: 318d, 320d, 330d and M340d, which offer 150, 190, 286 and 340 CV respectively. Meanwhile, in petrol, only the M340i has a 48 V mild-hybrid system and carries the ECO sticker. The rest of the outputs are 184 and 258 CV.

The PHEV versions, 320e and 330e, combine a 2-litre turbo petrol engine with a 12 kWh battery to offer electric ranges of up to 62 kilometres. The first produces 204 CV and the second 292 CV. Of course, they carry the zero-emission environmental label.

Prices for the new BMW 3 Series start at 44,400 euros for the 318d version with 150 CV, and can reach 77,500 euros if you choose the Touring M340i xDrive with 374 CV.
