The new Cupra Formentor VZ5 reveals its full prices and equipment for Spain
The long-awaited Formentor with the five-cylinder engine is unveiled on the configurator just before its first deliveries arrive

Since its launch last year, the Cupra Formentor has been a great sales success, accumulating almost 7,300 units registered from January 2021 to October of this year. The secret? Great finishes, fantastic dynamic behaviour, a great price-to-product ratio and a mechanical range with multiple power-boosting options.
But today, the top-of-the-range version of this SUV has been added to the lineup, long anticipated since the brand based in Martorell began whetting appetites with the great five-cylinder 390 CV, an improved chassis and production limited to 7,000 units. In short, ingredients that will undoubtedly ensure this superb product does not disappoint anyone.
To reveal its price and equipment in our country, Cupra has decided to open up the possibility on its configurator of discovering every last detail of the great Cupra Formentor VZ5, from which we will draw to tell you the most important things about this version.

Most notable standard equipment
To begin with, the new Formentor VZ5 comes with 20-inch light alloy wheels and darkened rear glass as standard exterior equipment. These elements, together with the four rear exhaust outlets, reveal that we are looking at the most powerful version.
Added to this is a large technology section featuring the Cupra Connect system, electric mirrors that are heated, electrically folding and with a parking companion function, voice control, LED rear lights, Full Link with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wireless charger, digital cockpit and a sound system with 7 speakers.

As it could not be otherwise, the safety section is truly comprehensive, comprising LED fog lights with cornering function, multiple airbags inside, LED main headlights, electronic immobiliser, fatigue detector, interior mirror with anti-glare function, tyre pressure monitoring, differential lock with dynamic traction assistant, camera and distance sensor, parking exit assistance and lane keeping and change assistance or traffic sign recognition, among many others.
As for comfort, the standard equipment includes a centre console armrest with an integrated storage compartment and rear air vents, front seats with multiple heated adjustment options, adaptive cruise control, Climatronic with rear control panel, comfort opening of the boot lid and a USB Type-C connection.

Engine and price
As we have already mentioned, one of the great strengths of the new Formentor VZ5 is its 2.5-litre five-cylinder TSI petrol engine, which delivers 390 CV and 480 Nm of maximum torque, paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox and the 4Drive integral traction system. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
Finally, it is time to talk about the price, which has been the subject of speculation since the arrival of this new version was announced. The new Formentor VZ5 starts from 62,840 euros. A rather attractive price when compared with that of the Audi RS3 (74,870 euros), with which it shares its engine.
