The new Ford Mondeo shows its face
Ford has just announced and unveiled the first photos and details of the new Ford Mondeo 2013

With the presentation of the new Ford Fusion at the Detroit Motor Show, and given the promise made by Ford itself that the American model was much like the European version, it is no surprise that, to please a market in which the model has essentially triumphed generation after generation, they have hurried to present the version specific to our market.
As you will recall, in the presentation of the new Fusion we discussed certain changes that were to be introduced in the European version for homologation, changes that, as you can see, are located in the front and rear headlights. Apart from the wheel and paint options available, the vehicle is exactly the same as the North American version.
Once inside, we find a cabin that is somewhat different, not in design, which is exactly the same, but in equipment, where we find items such as a navigation system, a sound system, and certain elements that the model here can have fitted and the one on the other side of the pond cannot, and vice versa.
If you have reached this far, it is probably because either you are in love with the vehicle or you have already started saving to buy one. Well, I can tell you that according to Ford the first units will not start arriving until the first quarter of 2013. These vehicles will initially be offered only with a 125 hp 1.6 Ti-VCT engine, a 180 hp 1.6i Turbo Ecoboost, or a 240 hp 2.0i Turbo Ecoboost. There has been no news about diesel, although we can expect the hearty 2.0 units to make their mark again.
Some months later we will find new entry-level engines in both diesel and petrol variants, as well as, for the first time in its history, a hybrid version that will reportedly produce around 185 hp.
