The New McLaren 720 Spider Will Be Unveiled on 8 December

McLaren has recently announced the official date for the presentation of the new 720S Spider. The English manufacturer has stated that the model will be revealed in all its splendour on 8 December 2018.

The prestigious English manufacturer, McLaren, has just delighted eager fans with news surrounding the new 720S Spider. The company has shared a teaser that briefly shows the new model alongside the date of its official presentation. That presentation will take place on 8 December 2018.

The McLaren 720S Spider will become the second model from the company to be part of the “Track25” business plan, and it is the closest to the presentation of the Speedtail last month.

The new 720S Spider will join the 570S Spider as another option within the convertible range offered by the English manufacturer.

Of course, having a retractable roof comes at the cost of a considerable increase in weight, especially in a supercar like this one where every gram counts.

Its engine will remain the same as that of the standard McLaren 720S, namely a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 710 CV, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Its acceleration figures are truly impressive: this is a supercar capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. It has a top speed of 341 km/h. The new Spider is expected to become one of the most exciting convertible supercars on the market, and with these numbers and the option of open-top motoring, nobody doubts it.

After all, having the sky as your roof inside a thundering 700 CV supercar powered by a V8 engine must be an indescribable sensation. Paying a small price in aerodynamics, which may be affected to some extent with the roof down, it will be able to rival its siblings at the same level.
