The new Mustang GTD and two special editions arrive in Europe: California Special and Nite Pony Package
Ford celebrates the Mustang’s 60th anniversary with two special editions for Europe featuring the V8 engine and the much-anticipated arrival of the Mustang GTD this summer

Today is a special day for Mustang and all its fans, as the iconic Ford Mustang turns 60 since its debut at the New York World’s Fair in 1964. Since then, this symbol of power and style has captivated sports car enthusiasts around the world. With more than 418,000 units sold in its first year, the Mustang became a sales record and has maintained its position as the most popular sports car for over a decade.
To commemorate this legacy of continued success, Ford today announces the launch of the Mustang GTD in Europe, along with two new versions specially designed for the European market: the Mustang California Special and the Mustang Nite Pony Package.

Mustang California Special
Paying homage to the 1968 special edition, Ford presents the new Mustang California Special for the European market. Inspired by the distinctive style of the American West Coast, this model offers a unique and vibrant design.
Available in eight exterior color options, including the eye-catching Iconic Silver and the elegant Vapour Blue, the California Special stands out with its distinctive side stripes and an exclusive GT/CS logo. Inside, luxury meets style, with details such as the Navy Pier upholstery and leather seats in Ebony Black, enhancing its exclusivity.

The Mustang California Special is now available to order, offering the choice of a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic for the 5.0-liter V8 engine.
Nite Pony Package: a dark touch for the Mustang
For those seeking a darker style, Ford offers the new Nite Pony package for the Mustang GT coupe and convertible. This package transforms the Mustang’s look with Ebony Black details on the alloy wheels, roof, and front and rear Pony emblems. With its irreverent style, the Nite Pony Package adds a touch of mystery to the already legendary Mustang lineup.
This model is also now available to order in Mustang GT coupe and convertible versions, with a choice of manual or automatic transmission for the 5.0-liter V8 engine.

Mustang GTD arrives this summer
The Mustang GTD, hailed as the boldest and most advanced in its history, arrives on European roads. This high-performance vehicle, road-homologated, blends cutting-edge technology with an iconic design. Equipped with features such as active aerodynamics and semi-active suspension, the Mustang GTD promises an unmatched driving experience. Ford will produce this model in strictly limited numbers, ensuring its exclusivity for the fortunate owners. Applications for the Mustang GTD are expected to open this summer, with more details to follow.
Mustang fans will have the opportunity to witness the Mustang GTD’s performance during the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it will compete alongside the Mustang GT3 in a display of speed and skill.
