The new Nissan Juke 2020 will make its debut on 3 September
The Nissan Juke 2020 will be unveiled on 3 September with several engine options and rumours of a plug-in hybrid version.

The new Nissan Juke 2020 has arrived in the form of a teaser, as the brand has published a preview of its new crossover ahead of its market launch on 3 September. The image released by Nissan of the Nissan Juke 2020 is not very revealing, but it shows that the updated model will feature slim LED daytime running lights positioned above the round headlights.
A much more prominent grille can also be seen, echoing the one found on newer models such as the Nissan Rogue and the Nissan Murano.

The styling details of the new Nissan Juke are difficult to make out, but it appears the crossover will feature plastic cladding and a silver, chrome accent beneath the grille. Nissan has not said much about the future Nissan Juke, but some spy photos of the model have shown that it will follow in the footsteps of its funky predecessor.
In particular, the crossover will have a large windscreen and muscular rear shoulders. Other highlights include a sloping roof, a compact cabin and an evolved rear end.

Nissan Juke 2020: what has Nissan shown us?
The teaser published by Nissan about the reworked Juke, due to be revealed on 3 September gives us a much more modern view of the crossover. In addition, the restyle is expected to reach the market early next year and will be built on the CMF platform that also underpins the new Renault Clio and the new Renault Captur.
Engine options remain unconfirmed, but a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 140 CV and 160 CV could be available. Rumours have also suggested a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine and a 1.5-litre diesel version.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that some reports suggest the company will offer a plug-in hybrid variant that would use a 1.6-litre petrol engine, an electric motor and a 9.8 kWh battery pack. According to reports, this setup would give the model a fully electric range that could exceed 30 kilometres.
The Nissan Juke Mk2 is being designed by Nissan’s studio in London and will go on sale in early 2020, a few months after its unveiling. This evolution replaces a model that has been on sale, with relatively few changes, since 2010.

Alfonso Albaisa, Nissan’s global head of design, already commented in an interview last year that the second-generation Nissan Juke “does not look much like the current model” and added that “It does not look like the Nissan IMx, a concept unveiled in 2017. It is an urban meteor with an aggressive attitude”.
The original Nissan Juke was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010 and helped drive the popularity of small SUVs. In sales terms, that class multiplied tenfold in Europe between 2010 and 2016, and by 2022 it is expected to double again from its 2016 level. Juke sales have exceeded 100,000 units a year in Europe.
