Renault updates the famous Captur and gives it the E-Tech powertrain, which is making waves and set to be crowned the sales leader

Renault has announced the presentation of the new Captur 2024, an exciting evolution of one of its most iconic models, which arrives with a wide range of powertrains and possible configurations. Scheduled for Thursday, April 4 at 9:30 (Madrid time), the press conference will feature the notable presence of Fabrice Cambolive, CEO of Renault, Paula Fabregat, Director of Design Projects, and Bruno Vanel, Director of Product Performance. This event promises to reveal the latest and most exciting innovations incorporated into the popular SUV.
Since its debut in 2013, the Captur has proven to be a resounding success for Renault, establishing itself as one of the best-selling vehicles both in Spain and internationally. In 2023, the Captur ranked second in Renault sales in Spain, with an impressive total of 14,199 registrations, surpassed only by the Clio. This achievement underscores the popularity and ongoing demand for this model, which has sold more than 2 million units in nearly 90 countries since its launch.

Available powertrains
One of the most notable features of the 2024 Captur is its wide range of powertrains. The SUV is expected to be available with petrol, diesel and hybrid options, allowing drivers to choose the configuration that best suits their needs and preferences. Among the petrol options will be the powerful 1.0 TCe turbo three-cylinder engine, which will offer an optimal balance between performance and efficiency. For those who prefer diesel efficiency, the 1.5 Blue dCi engine will be available, known for its fuel economy and low emissions.

E-Tech version
However, the real innovation comes with the new Captur’s E-Tech hybrid versions. These variants will offer more efficient and environmentally friendly driving, thanks to Renault’s advanced hybrid technology which, as we have already seen in other models such as the Clio, delivers outstanding powertrains. With the addition of these options, Renault reaffirms its commitment to sustainable mobility and to reducing the environmental footprint of its vehicles.
In addition to improvements in the powertrain, the 2024 Captur is expected to receive updates to its design and configuration. Although not officially confirmed, rumour has it that the SUV could offer a second option with a longer wheelbase and overall length, which would provide an even more generous and versatile interior space. This possible addition reflects Renault’s continued commitment to innovation and the constant improvement of its products.
