The new Toyota Land Cruiser adds the VX-L trim to its range, further expanding its technology equipment

The Toyota Land Cruiser adds the VX-L trim to its range. It sits at the top of the line-up and replaces the First Edition version, which has been a success

The Land Cruiser has returned in grand style with a renewed look that leaves behind the “spartan” design closer to a pure 4×4, now resembling an SUV like most of those we know today, although this has not stopped Toyota from creating a vehicle that has by no means forgotten its off-road character in the broadest sense of the word.

In Europe, Toyota currently offers the 250 engine, represented by a rebuilt 2,800 cc turbo diesel block designed to offer a great balance between performance and efficiency. In fact, its power rises to 208 CV and a maximum torque of 500 Nm, which is sent to all four wheels together with the eight-speed Direct Shift automatic gearbox. With this configuration, the Land Cruiser certifies a combined consumption of 10.5 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 276 g/km, figures that will be improved when next year Toyota launches the version with mild hybridisation.

Its design change and extensive technology equipment have made the Land Cruiser an off-roader that will not be suitable for every budget. This equipment is reinforced from the VX trim, which until now was the only one available, and includes elements such as the following:

  • 18-inch wheels
  • Chestnut brown leather upholstery
  • Tinted rear windows
  • Electrically foldable and heated exterior mirrors
  • Light and rain sensors
  • Opening sunroof
  • Active cruise assist system
  • Multi-Terrain Monitor
  • Multi-Terrain System
  • Rear differential lock
  • Brake assist
  • Emergency brake warning
  • Blind spot detection
  • Intelligent high beam control
  • Lane departure warning assistant
  • Lane Keeping Assist System
  • 360º camera
  • Pre-collision safety system
  • Downhill assist control
  • Hill start assist
  • Tyre pressure sensors
  • Electronic stability control system
  • Front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking

Now, following the success of the First Edition version, of which 250 units sold out in less than 7 hours, Toyota launches the VX-L trim to replace this version, and therefore sits at the top of the range. Added to everything above, it includes the following elements:

  • 20-inch wheels in Grey Alloy Matte finish
  • Opening panoramic sunroof
  • Disconnectable front stabiliser bar
  • Traffic sign recognition
  • JBL premium audio system with 14 speakers
  • Digital interior rear-view mirror
  • Heated rear seats
  • Digital smart key
  • Digital instrument cluster with 12.3-inch screen
  • Head-Up Display with 10.6-inch screen

In addition, the four common colours available for both trims are also offered, and if we opt for the VX-L trim we will also have the Tottori Yellow colour available at an extra cost of 1,100 euros, which was exclusive to the First Edition version.

The new Toyota Land Cruiser in VX-L trim can now be ordered at the brand’s Spanish dealerships, with a price starting from 95,000 euros; it is also worth remembering that the VX trim, which was already available, starts from 85,450 euros.
