The Volkswagen Nivus, due to be presented shortly, is moving towards its official debut with a sketch that reveals the exterior design of this new crossover

The unveiling of new automotive models through the public exposure of camouflaged cars is an art in which Volkswagen has a great command of the technique. From models with electric motors, such as the case of the Volkswagen ID.3 to those that keep, at least initially, their commitment to traditional engines, such as the case of the new Volkswagen Nivus, they have first been shown wearing the usual livery that imitates zebra skin, at least in its striping.

Even though we already knew the fundamental look of this new crossover that joins the brand’s lineup of crossovers from its worldwide presentation in its home country, Brazil.

Well known is that based on the modular MQB platform of the Volkswagen Group, its construction, based on that architecture, gives it a nature similar to other offerings in terms of models with the character of traditional off-road vehicles, but with capabilities almost exclusive to urban use.

The SUV trend is neither exclusive to our territory nor to our continent, because, like the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected practically the entire globe, the expansion of this trend and the growth of the catalogs shows no sign of stopping, in any world region, and South America is no exception.

Thus, from the Volkswagen do Brasil subsidiary, the Volkswagen Nivus has been conceived for the whole world, and will be manufactured and exported globally.

Both its sale and deliveries are scheduled for this very month of June, but will initially be for the regional market, paving the way in 2021 for its expansion to other markets such as Europe.

That is why, in looking at this first unveiled image of the Volkswagen Nivus, although it is a digital image based on a drawing, we see a vehicle with soft lines, more typical of a crossover than an SUV, whose delicate main design lines, and above all its bodywork, position it as the most stylish option for customers seeking a vehicle closer to a compact car, with an architecture set away from the asphalt, than to a 4×4 in search of adventures on any surface other than asphalt.
