The new version of the Volkswagen Touareg will arrive at Spanish dealerships starting in October, with a new look and greater equipment to enjoy driving this elegant SUV from the German manufacturer even more. The car has evolved, and among its features are lower consumption and higher power.

There are other new developments that update the offering in terms of efficiency for the VW Touareg, such as new safety elements, bi-xenon headlights, and sailing, which allows it to coast by taking advantage of its momentum, without the need to press the accelerator.

The car’s appearance remains unchanged and allows it to be recognized perfectly. That said, it features a series of new elements that reinforce its image. For example, it is slightly wider, which strengthens its front bumper. This part has been completely redesigned, with a centered grille integrated with the bi-xenon headlights.

The Chrome & Style package, available for all trims except the Touareg Pure, adds a chrome profile that runs along the bumper area and wraps around the sides and rear. It also features new 18-inch alloy wheels, which give it a more dynamic touch.

The V6 engines equipping this new version of the Volkswagen Touareg have increased their power by 7% and incorporate an SCR catalytic converter (selective catalytic reduction), which allows the model to meet the strict figures required for inclusion in the EURO 6 standard.

For example, the version with the V6 TDI engine has seen its power increase from 245 CV to 262 CV, while its consumption has dropped from 7.2 to 6.6 l/100 km, with emissions of 174 g/km. The spring suspension has also been improved, while hydraulic suspension can be chosen as an option.

Safety is enhanced with several added features, such as ACC adaptive cruise control, Front Assist, and Lane Assist. In addition, it will feature online mobile services together with the RNS 850 radio and navigation system. This includes Google Earth maps and the Google Street View option.

The starting price of this new generation of the Volkswagen Touareg will be 58,790 euros, a figure that does not include any of the planned campaigns.
