The new Volkswagen Touareg will be presented in Beijing, but it can be glimpsed beforehand in these images
Volkswagen has provided us with a series of images of the new Touareg. This third generation will be presented on March 23 at the Beijing Motor Show

The Geneva Motor Show is always synonymous with novelties, new vehicles and plenty of surprises, but some brands have decided to keep an ace up their sleeve for future occasions, such as the Beijing Motor Show. This decision has been taken by Volkswagen, a firm whose stand was dominated by the bet it has planned for the future. However, the new Volkswagen Touareg -one of the most anticipated models- was not presented, but the German brand has allowed us to admire its silhouette in these images.
It will be at the next edition of the Beijing Motor Show that Volkswagen will present the third generation of one of the most exclusive and advanced SUVs in the German group. Without a doubt, this new version is generating great expectation, since all fans of the model eagerly await the introduction of the latest technologies from the VAG group in this third Touareg, a model that has always stood out for its good tuning and off-road capability off-road, two characteristics we hope will remain present.
We can get a fairly close idea of the final design of the Touareg, something made possible thanks to the images of a Concept Car that reflected the GTE version of the German SUV. However, after gaining access to some photographs provided by the brand itself, we can distinguish some of the features of the future Touareg, which still keeps both the front and rear hidden. Despite this, we glimpse some very interesting elements, such as a more compact and streamlined silhouette.

We see these characteristics reflected throughout the whole of the new Volkswagen Touareg, which still maintains the typical attributes of an SUV but softens them to the point of being a more dynamic and harmonious vehicle than its platform siblings, namely the Audi Q7 and the Porsche Cayenne. This allows the German crossover to maintain a refinement more common in saloons than in vehicles of its segment, but this is not the only interesting thing about the new Touareg.
The mechanics that will bring this model to life will be represented by both diesel and petrol engines, among which we will find V6 and V8 powerplants. However, we will also find a third option that relies on hybridisation and, as is normal at Volkswagen, uses the GTE badge, which represents a perfect balance between sportiness and efficiency, two impeccable qualities in a vehicle of the stature of the Touareg.

For the time being Volkswagen has not provided further details about this new SUV, but we will know more very soon, since its official presentation will take place on March 23 at the Beijing Motor Show. With this latest Touareg, the trio of SUVs in the VAG group will be complete and, as is customary, choosing one over the other will be an arduous task.
