The BMW M2 Coupé also goes black with the new Edition Black Shadow
The BMW M2 Coupé makes its look even more aggressive with the new Edition Black Shadow, a limited edition with cosmetic touches that will go on sale from April

The BMW M2 Coupé is perhaps one of the best sports cars the Bavarian brand has ever built, and I think few would deny it. Add to that a truly spectacular look for this “little one” and you get a model that any petrolhead worth their salt will covet. Now BMW is going all-in on black with the M2 Coupé, giving it an even more fierce look if that’s possible.
You won’t want to find it behind you or have it fixed in your rear-view mirror: its roar and new look make the BMW M2 Coupé the terror of the roads. The BMW M range has won over even more fans, as shown by, for example, the good sales figures achieved in Spain up to mid-2017, with the M2 Coupé as one of the contributors, selling 12,000 units worldwide in just its first full year of production.

Now, to keep the M2 Coupé on this upward spiral of success, BMW is jumping on the “all black” trend with the new Edition Black Shadow applied to the M2 Coupé. This edition features the exclusive Sapphire Black metallic paint across the entire bodywork, an exterior look completed by spectacular 19-inch wheels with a Y-spoke design.
There are also other exterior styling details that reinforce this look, using carbon fibre for the mirror caps and the rear diffuser, from which the exhaust outlets emerge in black finish. To finish the changes, the characteristic BMW kidney grilles, side gills and window surrounds have been painted gloss black. Inside, unlike on other occasions, there are no changes.

As you might imagine, the BMW M2 Coupé Edition Black Shadow features only cosmetic upgrades, so mechanically we still find its powerful 3.0-litre TwinTurbo six-cylinder engine, which delivers 370 CV together with 465 Nm of torque, increasable up to 500 Nm when using the Overboost function. You can choose between the six-speed manual gearbox or the M seven-speed dual-clutch automatic Drivelogic transmission.
If you’re interested in getting the BMW M2 Coupé Edition Black Shadow, you should know it will be available to buy from next April, at a price that has not yet been specified.
