The next-generation Chevrolet Camaro will keep the 6.2-litre V8
According to a fan forum, the Camaro would keep its 6.2-litre V8 engine for the sixth generation in 2016, with few changes compared to the current model.

The Chevrolet Camaro, far from relaxing its muscles, will continue to feature the same 6.2-litre V8 engine for the next generation, which should hit the streets in 2016, according to a rumour leaked through the GM Inside News forum. That said, the Camaro will not undergo any downsizing or anything of the sort, just as its fans want.
Since its carefully planned demise, through to its rumoured kinship with the platform of the Cadillac ATS, everything has been shrouded in a cloud of dust, if we go by what has been published. Not only will the Camaro remain, but it will most likely not undergo too many changes for what will soon be the sixth generation.
The only thing still considered a possible future change is that the Camaro could see its dimensions reduced slightly and might undergo a weight reduction, given that it is heavier than its competitor and rival, the Ford Mustang (and it seems that, besides being heavier, it is also slower than it).
If you want to know more about the Camaro and its 6.2-litre V8 with 430 horsepower, our colleague Diego had the pleasure of a first drive in Switzerland not long ago. Meanwhile, we keep our fingers crossed that GM confirms the news and keeps delighting us with the sound of the V8 for a few more years.
