The Peugeot 2008, also made for enjoying the open road

A few days ago we were discussing the capabilities of the new Peugeot 2008 designed to attempt the demanding challenge of the 2016 Dakar Rally, so today we turn to interesting facts about the road version of this model. The Peugeot 2008 intended for our roads does not need the highly specific specifications required by the competition version, but it can certainly handle everyday driving without problems and with plenty of aids to improve the driving experience.
The image of the Peugeot 2008 is that of a city car, but one eager to explore open country and everything that can be experienced with it. The engines it is equipped with allow it to move comfortably through city streets as well as along outdoor tracks. The 1.2 L Pure Tech engine produces 82 CV, enough to drive around town with fuel consumption and emissions figures of 3.8 litres per 100 km and 95 grams of CO2/km.
Another 1.2 Litres Puretech engine produces 110 CV in one version and 130 CV in the higher one, and includes Stop&Start, as do the diesel engines 1.6 litre BlueHDI 100 S&S and 120 S&S. The different trim levels offered on the Peugeot 2008 include a very complete specification, featuring sat nav, panoramic roof, two-zone automatic climate control, cornering fog lights, rear obstacle detector, hands-free kit, ESP and ABS, or cruise control and speed limiter, among others.

The adventurous spirit of the Peugeot 2008 is enhanced by Grip Control. Thanks to this grip optimisation system, the 2008 can tackle any type of difficult terrain, in combination with all-season tyres. The Grip Control selector is located on the centre console and lets you choose between Standard, Snow, Crossover, Sand or ESP Off modes, giving it great versatility.
The Peugeot 2008 reaches its peak with the Crossway version, which offers a high level of equipment, the highest in the range, and also features design details that make it stand out from the other versions. The entry price for the Peugeot 2008 range is 12,690 euros, with air conditioning and radio included.
