The Peugeot 208 hits the Spanish market and you can get your hands on it now

The Peugeot 208, one of the brand’s most popular models and one of the compacts preferred by drivers who see the city as their main driving environment, arrives in Spain. The new design brings a look that aims to recall the strength of the brand’s lion. More sporty, with greater presence and very complete equipment to deliver maximum performance in the driving experience.

The lion reference remains present at the front in the brand’s emblem and the three daytime running lights shaped like the claws. This design is also present in the rear light clusters. Two new body colours have been added, aimed at giving it a more urban image without losing its dynamic spirit.

As standard, it comes in Amarillo Águeda, while Gris Selenium, which has a more elegant entry-level feel, is optional. It also debuts new alloy wheels, which follow the line already seen on the Peugeot 408. They are available in two sizes, 16-inch and 17-inch, following a diamond pattern with the brand’s shield in the centre.

Inside, you can choose black Alcántara upholstery with Verde Adamite topstitching, which enhance the attractive image intended for this urban model. Another element included in this new version of the Peugeot 208 is the Peugeot i-Cockpit.

It features a 10-inch screen for the infotainment system, which works together with the i-Toggles Switches and the Mirror Screen system. The digital instrument cluster, with a 10-inch screen, is 2D in the Allure trim and 3D Quartz in the GT version, with a holographic effect.

Depending on the trim level chosen, a 180º camera is available to support the parking assistant, operating at the front and rear. Other ADAS systems help create space and ensure safe driving in the new Peugeot 208.

Available engines

The Peugeot 208 is offered with two 48-volt mild-hybrid engines. These two petrol engines deliver 100 and 136 CV, respectively. Compared with a similar petrol engine, they consume 15% less, making them more appealing for city driving.

In addition to these two Mild Hybrid engines, there are two PureTech petrol engines of 75 and 100 CV. The first has a five-speed gearbox and the second a six-speed one.

There is also a fully electric version. It features an electric motor delivering 115 kW, equivalent to 156 CV. Its battery offers a range of 400 kilometres, and charging times range from 4.5 hours on a 7.4 kW charger to 25 minutes on a 100 kW public charger.

Price of the Peugeot 208 for Spain

The new Peugeot 208 will be offered in three trim levels in Spain: Active, Allure and GT. Prices start at 20,100 euros, while the e-208 starts at 35,100 euros.
