The Polestar 7 could be the brand's first model built in Europe
The Polestar 7 could be produced at a European plant. Here are all the details!

Polestar is eager to build vehicles in Europe, but has suggested that another five years could pass before it becomes possible. The Swedish carmaker currently produces the Polestar 2 at Volvo’s Taizhou factory in Luqiao, China, while the upcoming Polestar 3 will be built both in Chengdu, China and at Volvo’s plant in Harleston, South Carolina. The Polestar 4 has also been confirmed to come to life at Geely’s plant in Hangzhou Bay, China, while both the Polestar 5 and 6 will be manufactured at a facility in Chongqing, China.
While speaking about the company’s production plans, CEO Thomas Ingenlath suggested that the Polestar 7 could be the first model the brand builds in Europe. “For us, it’s important to come to Europe at some point,” he said. “And that could be at the time we start building the Polestar 7.”

However, Ingenlath noted that it will depend on Volvo deciding which is the best European facility to build the Polestar. “It depends on Volvo seeing where they will place the cars on the platform and where they will be built,” he added. Very few details about the Polestar 7 are known, including what body style it might adopt. Regardless of the form it takes, it is likely to be sold in Europe and exported to international markets.

Polestar has a lot on its plate before it can focus its attention on the Polestar 7. To start, it is preparing to begin production of the Polestar 3 SUV next year and will follow it with the smaller Polestar 4 SUV. The Polestar 5 will launch in 2024, while the Polestar 6 is scheduled for a launch sometime in 2026.
Either way, we will have to wait to find out at which European plant production of the highly anticipated Polestar 7 will begin.
