The Porsche Cayenne Coupé of 2020, leaked before its presentation?

Is this the definitive look of the new Porsche Cayenne Coupé of 2020?

The internet has the magic of instant dissemination and the misfortune that everything published online is, in one way or another, recorded forever.

This is what has happened with the image that heads this article, a teaser that appears to show a preview of what will be the Porsche Cayenne Coupé of 2020: the most stylish and streamlined version of the luxury SUV from Porsche.

A car we have already seen as a prototype in its testing phase. A sporty SUV that we have shown in videos such as the one below.

It is because of these images of a test car in the final stage of development, captured in February, that we give credibility to the sample that unexpectedly interrupted the Instagram network in the form of a finished sketch of what would be the definitive look of the 2020 Porsche Cayenne.

The Coupé version of the Porsche Cayenne SUV

As can be seen in the images, both the real ones and the drawing, the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupé would differ from the original SUV from the B-pillar rearward.

It is from the outline of the rear window that the vehicle flows toward the C-pillar, with a slope closer to that of a fastback body, culminating in a discreet spoiler along the line joining the rear lights.

At the same time, the body looks more muscular thanks to strong rear wheel arches that give it an athlete-like appearance, sculpted in the gym through intense weightlifting sessions.

The same will be true of its powerful engines. We expect it to come, from the outset, with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing around 550 CV and a sensational torque of no less than 700 Nm. We also expect it to inherit the hybrid powertrain of the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid.

A Porsche Cayenne Coupé that will also feature four-wheel steering, allowing a more dynamic and efficient line in the most sporting driving situations, and that, in urban use, will ease the manoeuvrability of this 2019 SUV.

The marketing of the Porsche Cayenne

A car we expect to be presented in the coming months, possibly at one of the most important events for the brand, such as the local Frankfurt Motor Show, though it is not ruled out that it could be presented in China at the Shanghai Motor Show, given that sales of luxury SUVs are growing exponentially in that Asian country every year.

Either way, production of the Porsche Cayenne should put this variant in dealerships for the next year, 2020.
