The Renault Alpine A110-50 would cost around 50,000 euros, with technology from Mercedes
The Renault Alpine would have a price of around 50,000 euros and would be a sports car with technology and platform from Mercedes-Benz.

We already knew that the new Renault Alpine A110-50 wouldn’t be cheap; in fact, it has landed at the price I had imagined: around 50,000 euros, according to Carlos Tavares. The chief operating officer of the French brand referred to the price when discussing his goal of relaunching the Alpine brand.
The rebirth of Alpine will be done with style, as has already been seen. With the return of the model that has had the greatest historical value for Renault, a whole philosophy of quality in sports cars also returns, which will try to revive the glorious past of the diamond-badged brand. Although it must be admitted that what the future holds for Alpine, it seems that not even Tavares knows, yet, of course, it must be very promising, because he has commented that “after this, we can do whatever we feel like.”
But back down to Earth, not everything is rosy. To build the Alpine, Tavares says that Renault needs a partner to help bear the investment to be made. This process could take years, and not even the board of Renault has yet approved an agreement in this regard, although Tavares announces that there are already quite advanced conversations.
But now comes the good part. The talks are apparently with Daimler AG, Mercedes-Benz, no more and no less. The Alpine will receive the collaboration of the star brand where we all most want it: the engine and perhaps the platform. The boldest speculation talks about an Alpine with the engine and platform of the SLC AMG Coupé, and if we continue with the rumors, we could also mix Lotus, although with lower odds.
This is becoming really interesting, don’t you think?
