The Seat León Cross Sport concept leaks

The leaks keep coming, because the internet no longer leaves room for surprises. Just a few days ago, Seat announced a concept that would combine the performance of the León Cupra, the bodywork of the León SC and the versatility of the León X-Perience, a strange mix that the Spanish brand has named Seat León Cross Sport concept and which was accompanied in the announcement by images of official sketches. Unfortunately for the Martorell-based brand, its Frankfurt surprise has leaked online and we have already been able to see it.
In terms of design, the Seat León Cross Sport concept features a bodywork whose lower section has been fitted with the protective cladding typical of SUVs and crossovers, such as that found on the León X-Perience. The bodywork is now raised (41 mm) and has three doors, like the León SC. It rides on generously sized wheels, at least 18 inches, which house powerful ventilated brake discs on both axles, while the rear features an aluminium-finished diffuser with twin exhaust outlets on each side.

Inside, meanwhile, the orange is the calling card of the León Cross Sport concept. The warm colour appears on the door panels, the centre section of the sports-style front and rear seats, the steering wheel stitching and the detail on the top, the floor mats and the engine rev counter. The rest of the cabin, pending full details, appears identical to a well-equipped León.
In terms of performance is where this concept car from Seat stands out, just like its strange combination of design. It features the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine from the León Cupra, except it has been slightly modified to deliver a total output of 300 CV and 380 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a latest-generation Haldex AWD system and a seven-speed DSG gearbox, which will allow the León Cross Sport to go from zero to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
