Impreza Subaru Compact Range / versions New York Auto Show
The Subaru Impreza 2017 chooses New York for its public debut

For several months we have watched as Subaru has been presenting three prototypes of the Subaru Impreza, one for each body style. But it is time to start preparing the production version, and the venue chosen to show this model just as it will reach dealerships is the New York Auto Show. This major event will take place starting on March 23, so we won’t have to wait long to see which options this Japanese model has kept.
Two versions of the model will be presented in New York, not just one. These will be the four-door saloon and the five-door hatch. The third model, called Crosstek in the North American market and XV in Europe, will arrive definitively later on, although the prototype it will be based on has already been seen at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
These new Impreza models are set to feature a different look, resulting from a restyling to bring the design of the new models in line with 2017, when this new version will become available. Among the changes compared with the current version is the onboard technology, which will see an advance thanks to the incorporation of driver assistance systems and infotainment.
More technology and a new platform
Thus, we will find the new Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system along with other elements designed to improve driving safety. It is also known that it will be built on the recently announced ‘Subaru Global Platform‘, so it will be the first two models to use this base, presented earlier this week.
Are you excited to see this new model, designed to go on sale next year? Following the appearance of the concept cars, we still need to find out how closely these versions will resemble them.
