The Subaru Tribeca would reach the end of its life in 2013, a vehicle that in recent years has been hard to justify on the part of Subaru.
Subaru has decided to discontinue the Tribeca, according to news from Japan and amid a fairly significant drop in sales of the model, among other reasons. But the underlying reason is the same as with so many other models that have been cancelled: it is not economically viable.
The Tribeca has fallen behind competitors such as the Toyota Highlander, or models that have emerged from within Subaru itself, such as the Legacy or the Outback. Since it first went on sale in 2008, it has never even managed to match its rivals in units sold, and in Japan this model has been considered redundant, with especially high fuel consumption.
As an additional note, from having driven a Tribeca when it was still offered in Spain, I remember it as the most striking and functional interior of any Subaru. At nearly two tonnes, and with its consumption figures, it didn’t help at all much in our market, where the main competition in this type of vehicle is represented by diesel models.
The Tribeca will still be offered in the brand’s range this year and the next, although beyond next year it is still unknown whether it will be replaced by a new model (could the Subaru XV have anything to do with it?) or will simply disappear from the brand’s history, with its production line taken over by two models that sell better, such as the Outback and the Legacy.

pues me parece muy bien era una copia del hyundai santa fe
asi como el outback es una copia descarada del mitsubishi outlander -_-
y asi como el impresa pareciera un toyota modificado con un graan graaan motor y mucho ruidito (ojo que toyota tiene parte de las acciones de suburu, por ahi ha de andar el asunto !) LOL
anddd333, como se nota que un Impreza te habra roto el culo mas de una vez. Odias a Subaru.
Tremenda marca SUBARU con el legacy y el impreza. Ahora tengo un Forester y se pasa de vueltas, en increible
la realida me parece que la tribeca es un muy buen vehiculo lo mismo que el impreza y outback son muy buenos creo que la subaru es la mejor marca de autos y no solo eso la fortaleza de este auto se presenta en todos los terrenos cosa que no tienen todas las marcas de autos
Subaru es una marca de autos que desde siempre han sido AWD, confiables y seguros e tenido desde el Justy j12 coupe sport, el Loyale coupe, el Legacy, Impreza sport, me cambie a Hyundai por la Santa Fe, mas grande que el Forester, y lejos la quiero vender y volver a Subaru, en consumo es casi igual, pero la seguridad y confianza de Subaru es impagable.
