Model 3 Tesla Sedans Electric Cars
The Tesla Model 3 will offer a battery with greater capacity than the standard Model S
The new electric saloon from Tesla, the Model 3, reveals all its technical specifications in a certificate for the Environmental Protection Agency.

Tesla revealed much of the technical specifications of the new Model 3 during its presentation, but there were still some things left to know. Among them is its power, which according to a document the brand has issued to obtain the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certificate, stands at 258 CV for the long range version, a version that will ultimately have a range of 500 kilometres.
The bestseller from Tesla will offer the same type of engine as the Model S, an electric motor of third-phase design with permanent magnets. In the case of the Model 3, this motor develops 258 CV, which means that the performance of the new saloon is slightly lower than that of its larger sibling; the Model S offers 333 CV in its entry-level version.

In any case, the American firm plans to launch a high-performance version of the Model 3 that could offer performance similar to that of the sportier Model S variant (P100D), and even incorporate the well-known Ludicrous driving mode.
One of the most unexpected pieces of data in the document just published by Tesla is the incredible energy capacity offered by the new Model 3. We can officially confirm that the new Tesla saloon offers a battery with greater capacity than that of the standard Model S. According to the document, the Model 3 battery offers a capacity of 78 kWh, 3 kWh more than the standard Model S battery.
As we already anticipated, the Model 3 will be rear-wheel drive in its entry-level versions. It will also incorporate a regenerative braking system that will act on both axles of the vehicle, in the purest Model S style.
