We got a brief preview at the Automobile Barcelona show, but now the Bi-Tone trim for the Toyota Auris is reaching the Spanish market in both bodystyles.

During the recent Barcelona Motor Show, now renamed Automobile Barcelona, Toyota presented an Auris in its estate bodystyle with hybrid powertrain, featuring a new two-tone paint finish for the bodywork. Now, this new trim level reaches all bodystyles of the Toyota Auris and is already available at dealerships across Spain.

This new variant of the Feel! trim is available both as the five-door hatchback and as its more practical estate version, the Touring Sports, and can be combined with three engines: the 140H hybrid engine, the 120T petrol engine and the 115D diesel engine. The exception is the 90D diesel engine, which cannot be chosen with this two-tone paint.

That said, this type of trim should sound familiar, as it is already available today on the new Toyota Yaris and the C-HR, models whose road tests we carried out recently if you click on their names. This means you can choose from three colour combinations: Pearl White/Black, Tokyo Red/Black and Lead Grey/Black, where the black tone is used on the roof, the mirror housings and the front grille.

Since the Bi-Tone Auris is based on the Feel! trim, standard equipment highlights include sports front seats with Alcantara inserts, darkened rear glass, headlights with Full LED technology and dynamic levelling, LED light-guide daytime running lights and light and rain sensors. The Toyota Touch 2 infotainment system also stands out, consisting of a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth with audio streaming, a USB port and a rear-view camera.

In terms of safety, the Toyota Safety Sense package stands out: a set of safety and driver-assistance systems also fitted as standard, comprising the Pre-Collision Safety System, lane departure warning, Road Sign Recognition and Intelligent High Beam Control. Finally, versions with the 120T and 115D engines get 16-inch alloy wheels, while the 140H gets 17-inch wheels.

As I mentioned at the start, the Bi-Tone Toyota Auris is already on sale in Spain, with a starting price of 18,500 euros for the five-door hatchback and 19,750 euros for the Touring Sports estate.
