The Toyota Land Cruiser is now available in GX trim as well as in a 5-seat configuration

The Toyota Land Cruiser is the quintessential off-roader from the Japanese brand, a model that was completely redesigned a couple of years ago and has gradually added new options to make it more appealing and versatile for potential customers. Shortly after its market launch, its range was expanded with the top-of-the-range VX-L trim, while last summer its engine gained mild-hybrid technology and an ECO label.

Along these lines, Toyota will continue to expand the options and choices available for the Land Cruiser: it now introduces a new entry-level trim called GX, which prioritises practicality, durability and intensive use of this vehicle. As standard equipment, it includes features such as the following:

Taking advantage of the arrival of this new trim, Toyota has also made changes to the VX trim, which now sits at an intermediate level and includes as standard equipment circular front headlights inspired by the design of the First Edition limited edition, a disconnectable front stabiliser bar and the Oasis Blue colour that was available as a two-tone option for the First Edition (it will be optional on the VX trim). Speaking of colours, all trims will now offer the Eclipse Black shade and, to round things off, all trims can now be chosen in a 5- or 7-seat configuration.

There are no mechanical changes, so let’s recall that the Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in all its trims with the 2,800 cc four-cylinder in-line diesel engine producing 205 CV and 500 Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels through the eight-speed Direct Shift automatic gearbox. It also features a mild-hybrid (MHEV) light hybrid system, which earns it the DGT ECO label.

The new Toyota Land Cruiser GX is now available in Spain at a starting price of 66,500 euros, while the VX trim starts at 83,550 euros and the VX-L trim at 93,100 euros, all in five-seat configuration.
