The Toyota Land Cruiser presents the new aesthetic "Black Pack" and the rest of the updates obtained
The Toyota Land Cruiser receives a small update to improve its technology and mechanics, now more powerful and efficient, as well as a new aesthetic pack

Although for a few years now Toyota has been characterised by its commitment to increasingly cleaner models thanks to its renowned hybrid technology, which covers practically its entire range, the Land Cruiser, its longest-running model with 70 years of experience, is resisting losing its essence, and hopefully it will continue to do so for a long time. Now it receives an update, but it is not something that implies major changes for the Land Cruiser.
The Toyota Land Cruiser has been characterised since its inception by not receiving substantial changes with each generation, remaining practically unchanged for long periods of time. In fact, the current 200 Series arrived in 2007 and, after thirteen years on the market, it remains practically the same, with small changes being added that do not amount to a revolution but keep it up to date. This is what happens with the update it now receives: it does not bring major changes, but they are necessary to keep it competitive in a market as aggressive as that of SUVs.

Looking at the aesthetic side, the Toyota Land Cruiser will not receive the slightest change and will remain the same, although it is true that the Japanese brand wants to give it a more distinguished and sporty touch with the new Black Pack. Thanks to this pack, several exterior elements will be finished in a dark chrome finish, which is applied to the front grille, the rear tailgate trim, the mirror housings, the fog light surrounds, the mid-height door mouldings and the rear light cluster. Inside, this tone appears on the console and the centre tunnel.
Inside the Toyota Land Cruiser, apart from the colour change if you opt for the Black Pack, there are no design changes, but the brand has taken the opportunity to improve the infotainment system with a multimedia system that includes new software and a touchscreen with faster, more customisable response. This system will also include connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as three years of mapping, connected services and map updates. We must not forget that it will also include the new generation of active safety technologies Toyota Safety Sense, which includes, among others, the Pre-Collision Safety System with pedestrian and cyclist detection and Adaptive Intelligent Cruise Control.

In terms of mechanics, the renowned 2,800 cc diesel engine of the Toyota Land Cruiser has been given more power, now delivering 204 CV together with a torque of 500 Nm, which means an increase of 27 CV and 50 Nm respectively. This engine is linked to a six-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels, allowing it to reach a top speed of 174 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds, which is 3 seconds faster than the outgoing engine. In addition, it has adopted Start/Stop technology, making it more efficient, with a certified average consumption of 7 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 192 g/km.
