Porsche Taycan Sedans Electric Cars
The upcoming Porsche Taycan travels to China, one of its main markets
Porsche is only a few months away from presenting the much-anticipated Taycan, a vehicle that has traveled to China to showcase its capabilities on the track.

One of the most anticipated models, and one generating the most buzz, is undoubtedly the Porsche Taycan. The all-electric firstborn from Stuttgart has been teased on numerous occasions, but everything suggests it has now entered its final stretch. This is because the German brand has begun what it has dubbed The Triple Route, in which the new Taycan makes an appearance on three continents, with Asia being the first. Specifically, the electric saloon has traveled to Shanghai, China, where it has shown off its capabilities on the track.
Although it is a vehicle that relies on electricity to sustain its existence, it remains a Porsche, which is the main reason it has clear performance ambitions. To prove this, the German firm took the Taycan to the circuit, a prototype still wrapped in the characteristic camouflage.
Shanghai, the United Kingdom and the United States: its upcoming visits
In addition to China, the Porsche Taycan will also visit the United Kingdom and the United States, where it will hit the track under the control of a local driver. On this occasion the professional driver, Li Chao, was in charge of guiding the electric car through corner after corner, a relatively straightforward task for the racer since he has competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia since 2012.

Chao says the Taycan’s track capabilities are impressive, and that we should not lower our guard given its electric nature. The upcoming Porsche is capable of exceeding 250 km/h, completing 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in under 12 seconds, figures that promise to make it one of the fastest electric cars of the moment.
The terrain it had to conquer was among the most complete, since the 5.5 kilometers of the Shanghai International Circuit are full of corners, changes of grip and slippery sections. With this setup, it was possible to unleash the Taycan’s virtues in its most sporty mode, and thus offer a preview of what the first electric car from Porsche will be able to do.
Official presentation in September
Despite the camouflage and the clear goal of Porsche to disguise the Taycan’s styling, we have witnessed various decorative elements. This is because the electric saloon will carry a component related to each country it visits, which is why a red dragon sits on the German car’s roof.

Even so, the company has been careful and meticulous to prevent any feature or detail of the Taycan from leaking, a model that will be unveiled in September in the context of the Frankfurt Motor Show. In this way Porsche is finally fully entering a segment that promises a great deal, especially regarding performance-oriented vehicles like this one.
