T-Roc Volkswagen Convertibles SUV
The Volkswagen T-Roc Cabrio is the trendy convertible SUV in Europe
The Volkswagen T-Roc Cabrio is one of the few convertible SUVs that shine in the market and has managed to secure second place in Europe.

There aren’t many convertible SUVs in Europe, so we have few options to choose from. In fact, the best-selling one in Europe has only registered 11,895 units sold in 2024. This was the MINI One/Cooper Cabrio, which topped the list of best sellers. Behind it is a model you may not have heard of, but which follows the British model closely.
It is the Volkswagen T-Roc Cabrio, a version of the popular SUV that is not very well known, yet has still managed to take second place in this exclusive list. In total, 10,691 units were sold across Europe, which is not bad at all considering it is not a very sought-after type of vehicle. In third place, incidentally, is the Porsche 911 Cabriolet, which registered 8,120 units.

These figures show that although it is not a very popular model, within its segment it has positioned itself as one of the most attractive options for buyers. The Volkswagen T-Roc Cabrio was presented in 2017 and, although it was thought it would gain some acceptance, no one expected it to reach this sales figure over the course of a year.
One important point is that a convertible has to be comfortable, since if you are driving with the wind in your face, you need to be comfortable seated. Above all, in the rear seats. In addition, it also has a considerable boot, offering a capacity of 284 litres.
As for the engines, it has petrol and diesel engines, with power outputs between 116 and 150 CV. This earns it the C environmental label from the DGT, so it is not exempt from restrictions in urban centres.
Despite this success, we know that convertibles are in decline and the T-Roc will be no exception. So although its production was originally planned to end in 2025, it will likely last until 2027. From that year onwards, it will no longer be possible to enjoy the Volkswagen T-Roc Cabrio, so now is the time to visit a dealership of the brand and test drive it.
