These are the ten best-selling cars in October 2021

With a total of 59,044 units registered during October, the downward trend continues, with 20.5% fewer passenger cars and SUVs sold compared with October 2020.

The same goes for light commercial vehicle registrations, which fell by 37% compared with October 2020, with a total of 10,459 units sold, led by Renault.

Mixed figures

Taking this into account, a total of 706,998 passenger cars and SUVs were registered between January and October, a figure that has risen by 5.6% compared with 2020, but which, compared with the same period in 2019, has suffered a steep drop of 33%.

In first place in the ranking is the Peugeot 2008 (road test) with a total of 2,232 units registered. With a lead of almost 400 units, this modestly sized French SUV took the win this October.

Behind the Peugeot we find the Hyundai Tucson, a model that since its launch has been a major sales success. Proof of this is the 1,856 units registered last month.

In third place, completing the podium, is the popular Dacia Sandero (road test), which, with 1,525 units registered, accounts for 61.29% of the brand’s total sales in October.

Continuing the list, we find the big brother of this ranking’s winner, the Peugeot 3008, which is undoubtedly one of the great successes of the SUV segment in our country. The model managed to register 1,434 units.

Midtable

In fifth place we find a compact, hybrid Japanese model that can also boast of being a success for Toyota. Can you guess which one? The Toyota Corolla!, of which a total of 1,262 units were sold.

In sixth position we return to France, as the Citroën C4 registered 1,254 units during October, chasing very closely the aforementioned Toyota model.

In seventh place we return to Hyundai, where the Korean brand managed to sell 1,139 units of its small i20 (road test). A very attractive product given its great price relative to what it offers.

Eighth place goes to another SUV, specifically the almost freshly renewed Nissan Qashqai, of which 1,092 units were registered, followed closely by the Seat Arona, which holds ninth place with 1,086 units registered, and finally, to close this top 10, we have the Peugeot 208, of which 1,057 units were registered.

Best-sellers from January to October

With this ranking complete, the three best-selling models so far this year are the Seat Arona in first place with 18,725 units, followed by the Hyundai Tucson with 16,730 units, and in third and final place the Dacia Sandero with a total of 15,988 units. Three models that, as you have seen, also appear in the October best-sellers ranking.
