They say NEVS would have received a final deadline to pay Saab's money, and NEVS denies it

The new owner of Saab, the NEVS consortium, reportedly received a final deadline from the Swedish government administration to complete the purchase of Saab, a report that NEVS has denied in recent hours.

It seems that the activity surrounding the sale of Saab is once again in the spotlight, this time with a final deadline given to NEVS to pay what it has promised for buying Saab. Although a spokesperson for NEVS has denied the report to the media, the truth is that the purchase should have been concluded last week.

It seems the rumor has some basis. Apparently one of NEVS’s partners does not have the money to contribute and thus finalize the purchase. And it is only logical that the Swedish government administrators want to make sure that the entire promised capital is in place before signing papers and contracts.

A NEVS spokesperson has stated that they have the money and that they have no problem with any of their partners involved in the Saab purchase. They have also said that the delay is caused by how “extremely complicated” the agreement is and by the need to have all the necessary documents and details properly ready.

As things stand, we are once again set for a long wait while the final negotiations are completed, because I suspect the famous Phoenix platform (which will be used in the Spyker-Youngman alliance) has a lot to do with the matter.
