Thinking about buying an SUV? The Seat Ateca is now accepting orders, and these are its prices

The crossover trend shows no sign of fading. In fact, the opposite is happening: it is the fastest-growing segment in Europe, taking a large share of mid-size saloon sales. Its comfortable driving position, generous interior space and wide, practical boot have driven sales of this type of car sharply higher. The Spanish brand, based in Martorell, recently unveiled its entry into this category, which is called the Seat Ateca.

We already “took it apart” for you a few months ago, at the Geneva Motor Show, although at the time the brand had not released all the details and, much less, the prices.

The base price of the Seat Ateca is 23,690 euros with the 115 CV petrol engineThis crossover will reach Spanish dealerships of the brand in June, although you can already view it, see its equipment and optional extras on the brand’s website.

The information on prices (RRP), which you can also check on the Seat website, is as follows:

In petrol, the 115 hp 1.0 TSI starts at 23,690 euros, making it the most affordable version in the entire range. Depending on the trim level, the type of transmission and the drive (front-wheel or all-wheel), the Seat Ateca with the 150 hp 1.4 EcoTSI engine can cost from 25,730 to 31,170 euros.

For its part, the diesel range offers a 115 hp 1.6 TDI that is only available with the Style Ecomotive trim and starts at 26,370 euros. For the 150 hp 2-litre TDI, prices range from 28,130 (Style trim) to 33,560 euros (Xcellence trim with 4Drive all-wheel drive). The most powerful offering from Seat is the 190 hp 2.0 TDI, which is mandatorily paired with the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, also in Xcellence trim, priced at 37,790 euros.

You may find these prices somewhat high, but I should remind you that these figures are without any discount and include the registration tax. Incidentally, many versions are exempt from this tax.

On the Seat Ateca, the large number of active safety and driver assistance systems stands out, among which are: the “Traffic Jam Assist” traffic jam assistant, adaptive cruise control (ACC), traffic sign recognition, blind spot sensor, rear cross traffic alert, 360-degree camera, Park Assist parking assistant and Emergency Assist.
