Top Marques 2016: The taste for luxury in Monaco reaches its tenth year
Monaco has hosted one of the events dedicated to ultra-luxury cars that attract buyers, now in its tenth edition, with an excellent collection of supercars that can also be test-driven on one of the most important circuits in the world

Combining luxury and Monaco is nothing new. In this small European principality we find a wide variety of cars that carry this label in their own design. The Top Marques is a market for cars of this kind, where prospective buyers can not only choose their next supercar, but also have at their disposal one of the most important circuits in the world to test it before buying.
In recent days we have seen some of the cars that have arrived at the exhibition area, such as the Apollo Arrow or the Porsche 918 dressed in acid green, but there is much more at the show, as you can see in this image gallery.
Icona had on display a Vulcano Titanium, one of the great supercars of the moment, whose body is made of that material. The body of this model was handmade and took nearly 10,000 hours to build. The manufacturers say they can tune the engine to deliver up to 1,000 CV, which may allow it to reach 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds.
The D8 GTO by Donkervoort, one of the fastest and most impressive supercars, was also looking for a buyer. It uses a 2.5-litre five-cylinder engineAudi, which delivers an output of between 340 and 380 CV. The Effeffe Berlinetta could also be seen, a car that pays tribute to the Italian GT models of the 1960s.
Bond, James Bond, was also present at Top Marques 2016, as Aston Martin presented a DB5, the classic car that appeared in the first films of the 007 saga, and the DB9, one of the latest versions of the model. It also presented a Jet Pack, a backpack that allows individual flight, powered by two turbines made by the same brand.

Another curious thing on show was the Arca Board, a flying skateboard that rises thanks to a set of propellers that allow it to hover. Several demonstrations of this device were given, which attendees were able to try.
Among the vehicles also on display and awaiting purchase by attendees were the Jaguar C-X75, the Range Rover Sport SVR and the Land Rover Defender. There were also customised models from specialist companies that increased interest in those models. A luxurious event that has reached its tenth year and seems set to keep going for many more. Enjoy the photos!
