This is how calmly the Koenigsegg Agera RS beats the Bugatti Chiron's 0-400-0 record

The Koenigsegg Agera RS has set a new world record by accelerating from 0 to 400 km/h and then coming to a stop in 36.44 seconds, 6 sec. faster than the Chiron

A few weeks ago, Bugatti set a new record with its Chiron by accelerating from 0 to 400 km/h and then coming to a stop in just 41.96 seconds. But now Koenigsegg has taken this achievement away on Valdel’s runway, achieving an impressive time of 36.44 seconds with the Agera RS.

Koenigsegg test driver Niklas Lilja was the pilot who pulled off the incredible feat, breaking the record at an airfield in Denmark. Not only was the Koenigsegg Agera RS faster in both acceleration and braking time, but it also reached 400 km/h in less time than the Bugatti: 26.88 seconds compared with the 32.6 seconds achieved by the French brand.

Furthermore, the Bugatti Chiron covered a distance of 3.1 kilometres in 41.96 seconds, while the Koenigsegg model needed only 2.4 kilometres to achieve the feat. To gain this difference of almost 6 seconds over the Chiron, Christian von Koenigsegg’s engineering team barely had to tune the model and simply made a slight change to the angle of the rear spoiler.

The Agera RS, with a 5.0-litre V-8 engine and 1,160 CV of power, is the main rival of the Bugatti coupé, which it easily surpassed despite having 319 fewer horsepower.
