The world of sports saloons has been winning over our market for years, and more and more brands are looking to enter this segment. One of the most anticipated vehicles has undoubtedly been the new Opel Insignia GSi. This model revives one of the most distinctive names from the German brand’s sporting models. But to complete the radical and exclusive package offered by the new Insignia, several elements have had to be modified compared with the standard version.

We are referring specifically to the seats of the Insignia GSi. This component is very important in all vehicles but, above all, in those with a clearly sporting character. This is because it is essential that they strike a perfect balance between grip and comfort, something present in the Opel Insignia GSi. This has required hard work from the Opel team, and today we tell you how it was possible.

In these seats we should highlight the comfort they offer and the various elements that make them highly exclusive. They feature premium seat characteristics, with massage, ventilation, heating, electric adjustment and much more. This allows you to spend several hours seated in our Insignia GSi without your backside suffering much.

But these seats are also designed to perform excellently when you want to have fun with the most powerful Insignia or take it onto a track. This goes hand in hand with the mechanics of the German saloon, which is why it has excellent side support. We should also highlight the well-developed ergonomics, through which the seats will hug your body perfectly.

Even so, that is not all. As we have mentioned, sportiness is very much present in the Insignia GSi , and this is demonstrated by its 2.0-litre engine producing 290 CV, but Opel has also wanted to show it through its interior. Something that was notable in the brand’s OPC vehicles was that they featured sports seats signed by Recaro, but on this occasion things are different. The seats in the new Insignia have been designed entirely by the Opel Performance department and have done an excellent job.

Without a doubt, the new Opel Insignia GSi presents itself as a very worthy alternative thanks to the great versatility it offers. It arrives eager and will be a tough competitor for its rivals, aiming to get under the skin of the Audi S4 and the Mercedes C43 AMG. This entire line-up will be available in our country at a price of 45,500 euros.
