This is the 6x4 Krug Expedition Bedrock XT2, the motorhome designed for extreme terrain
This motorhome offers many options for enjoying outdoor travel with comfort and elements that make you feel at home, simple and comfortable.

Enthusiasts of driving through the most extreme terrain have something to celebrate. Krug Expedition has launched a motorhome designed to tackle the most extreme terrain, based on a Ford F-550. But this is not just an add-on to this model: the chassis has been reinforced and a third axle has been added to the pick-up, to give it more stability and allow it to move better over difficult ground.
The person responsible for this modification was Artric Tucks, a company specializing in this type of conversion. The third axle is the most visible change, but not the only one. The redesign of the bodywork and frame was carried out to preserve the original suspension geometry and keep the centre of gravity as low as possible.

The third axle has no traction, although it helps reduce ground pressure by 25%, which helps maintain control. The wheels on this added axle use hydraulic disc brakes to improve control and reduce braking distance in any circumstance.
Other details that improve its off-road performance are the eight-arm air suspension, limited-slip differentials and 20-inch wheels wrapped in huge 43-inch Continental tyres. The tyres also feature an automatic inflation system. On the third axle, this system is optional.

The living module
The vehicle’s living module is quite comfortable and well equipped. It has been designed with a modern and functional aesthetic. It includes a lounge area, a kitchen and a small bathroom. The bathroom has a toilet and a shower, which are supplied with water thanks to a 447-litre tank.
In the sleeping area, a King Size bed has been fitted, although the dining area can also be converted into a resting area very easily. Other equipment designed for enjoying the journey includes two televisions. One is a Smart 32-inch TV in the lounge area and the other is a Smart 24-inch TV mounted at the top.

The internet connection comes from a StarLink installation, and heating is provided by a Truma Combi heating system, powered by diesel. It is also equipped with 1,450 W solar panels and a 23 kWh battery pack, intended to power the electrical systems during camping.
In addition to all this, the vehicle has been designed to be highly customizable. Users have several optional elements available that can be added to make it even more comfortable.
Its 6,680 mm length makes it comfortable and means four people can sleep without problems. It was created to meet the demand of the American market, which is always ready to welcome this type of vehicle: larger, more extreme and more expensive for the enjoyment of its users. The price matches its performance and size and starts at $690,000, so anyone who wants one of these units must save up a good amount.
