With 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.86 seconds and 50% of energy regenerated during the race, the Maserati Tipo Folgore makes its debut in Formula E’s season 11

Madrid becomes the stage where Maserati MSG Racing unveils its renewed commitment to Formula E with the Maserati Tipo Folgore, the electric car that will mark season 11 of the FIA World Championship. This new single-seater ushers in the GEN3 Evo era, bringing the technology, speed and efficiency that will travel the world across 16 exciting races, starting on 7 December in São Paulo, Brazil.

The pre-season test session, originally scheduled in Valencia, has been moved to the Jarama Circuit in Madrid due to the recent flooding that struck the Valencian Community. Maserati MSG Racing has expressed its support and condolences to the affected communities, a gesture that adds a human touch amid the excitement of this presentation.

Maserati Tipo Folgore

The Maserati Tipo Folgore promises to be not only a machine of outstanding performance, but also a visual tribute to 110 years of Maserati’s history in competition. The bodywork, in the iconic Maserati blue, is enhanced with Rose Gold details that represent the electrification and the innovative commitment of the Italian brand. This design of contrasts celebrates Maserati’s sporting heritage and projects it into the future.

The surface of the single-seater features letters and symbols that interweave names and key dates from Maserati’s most important victories in motorsport, making visible a legacy that has accumulated triumphs on some of the world’s most prestigious circuits. According to Klaus Busse, chief designer at Maserati, this aesthetic seeks to pay tribute to the champions and historic milestones that have made Maserati a legend on the track.

A technological beast with speed and efficiency records

Equipped with the GEN3 Evo package, the Maserati Tipo Folgore redefines the capabilities of an electric single-seater. With an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.86 seconds and a 600 kW regenerative braking system, the car is capable of generating 50% of the energy it uses during the race, making efficiency its main calling card. These figures position the GEN3 Evo as the fastest and most efficient Formula E single-seater to date.
