The Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé is one of the most striking models from the German brand on the market. It is spectacular and offers truly impressive performance. But we all know that what leaves the factory is not always enough, and there is always room for improvement. In this case, work has been done to create a special edition dressed in black and with distinctive features.

It is called Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé Night Edition and is intended for the Australian market. Not only is it impossible to find outside this country, but it will also be difficult to get hold of one in Australia. The reason is that only 15 units have been built, so there are few opportunities to buy one.

Dark, but in several colours

This special model is available in several colours, all of them dark and true to its nocturnal spirit. Obsidian Black, Selenite Grey and Graphite Grey Magno are the shades that clothe its bodywork and give this model an even more striking look. The typical AMG grille, with chrome vertical slats, together with the carbon-fibre roof, tinted rear windows and front headlights with black decorative elements, provide the dark touch needed to give the car its night-time character.

Added to this, a set of black 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear gives it a dynamic and attractive stance. The AMG logo stands out in white against the black background of the brake caliper. The interior has a similar look, thanks to the AMG Interior Night package.

It features black Nappa leather upholstery with a diamond pattern on AMG Performance seats, with the steering wheel and roof trimmed in microfibre and lacquered details. The Night Edition logo appears on the centre console, and all the equipment controls on the model are finished in black. It comes with the model’s full range of technology equipment, and on the exterior it has everything that improves the aerodynamics of this iconic car.

The 4.0-litre V8 engine with twin turbochargers produces 530 CV and a maximum torque of 670 Nm. This engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.8 seconds. It also includes a 12-volt lithium-ion battery.

The price of this variant is 294,200 Australian dollars, which is equivalent to 187,500 euros, and all units are expected to be sold out within a few days.
