Toyota Compact Cruiser EV: the new all-electric 4x4 shown in detail
This Land Cruiser-style miniature is one of the latest creations from the Japanese brand, promising exceptional off-road performance with zero emissions

The Toyota Compact Cruiser EV has been one of the most novel models we have been able to see over the past few months, thanks to its futuristic and distinctive design, which is quite reminiscent of the FJ Cruiser and its concept of being the first all-electric 4×4 from the Rising Sun brand.
With all this, Toyota has just won the “Car Design Award for Concept Vehicles 2022” thanks to our protagonist today, which has been the clear reason for the brand to publish a series of images revealing this highly novel model.
Part of the brand’s roadmap
The Toyota Compact Cruiser EV is part of the offensive made up of 15 models that the brand presented to us at the end of December 2021 alongside saloons, SUVs, vans and even sports cars that we will see between now and 2030, and that will allow the brand to transform into a 100% electric and sustainable company.

Without doubt, the design of this concept is one of its keys, since according to the brand it has been created drawing inspiration from the first generation of the iconic Toyota Land Cruiser, with a fairly robust and square shape, prominent bumpers and wheel arches that make the off-road potential of this vehicle very clear.
Added to this, we find LED lighting units that give it a very modern look, very square and large wing mirrors, and a C-pillar painted in fluorescent orange that gives it a rather fun touch, along with its rear, which features two LED taillights and a fairly clean tailgate with the Toyota lettering in the centre.
For the time being, the brand has not confirmed when the production version derived from this concept will officially arrive, nor its technical specifications, although given its unique characteristics in its segment, it could be in a few years’ time.
