The year 2019 welcomes a new version of the Toyota Prius PHEV, called “Model Year 2019“, which brings some novelties that give the car a fresh image. For example, the most important change is the rear bench. In this space, a new seat has been added, so this model, which traditionally had two rear seats, now has three.

With this, the Toyota Prius PHEV will have five seats, and according to the Japanese manufacturer, no comfort will be lost in any of the three seats of the rear bench. Other changes that can be seen in the interior of the new Toyota Prius PHEV are the replacement of decorative details in the upholstery.

Where there used to be a good amount of white details, these have been replaced with black. In addition, the upholstery fabric has also been changed to another that offers a more attractive and elegant look for a car that already shines with a more pronounced elegance.

The level of personalisation of the new Toyota Prius PHEV has increased with the addition of new 17-inch alloy wheels as an option, as well as the Galaxy Black Metallic colour, which reinforces its more attractive image. But what attracts the most from these options is the solar panel installed on the roof.

With this optional equipment, it is possible to achieve an additional range of about 5 kilometres from the energy harvested after a day in the sun. It also features a heat pump that helps improve energy consumption, something that is also very practical.

Mechanical specifications

The Toyota Prius PHEV maintains its technical characteristics, which allow it to achieve a range of 35 kilometres on a full battery charge. Another of its advantages is its consumption, which is approved at 1.3 litres per 100 kilometres and CO2 emissions of 28 g/km.
