Toyota Yaris 2022: the Japanese compact renews its range for 2022
The small Toyota Yaris updates its range with more advanced technological equipment and new colours and wheels to give it a fresh look

As we have been doing for several days now, today we bring you the popular Toyota Yaris, a Japanese compact that was renewed in 2020 with the launch of its fourth generation, and which now introduces new features to its range to be ready from the start of the year.
This renewal brings notable improvements in its equipment, while keeping the look identical to what we knew until now. However, Toyota has wanted to give it a slight novelty by introducing the new Kaji Orange colour, which we had already seen in the recent update of the C-HR.
Inside, the big news
But where the biggest change can be found is inside, since the new 2022 Toyota Yaris will feature the new Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system, which, in addition to offering greater smoothness in its operation, brings a notable improvement in connectivity.
This nerve centre is operated through a nine-inch touchscreen with compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, map updates, traffic information and alerts via the cloud, and tips for making driving more efficient.

As for safety and driver assistance systems, this Yaris renewal also comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense package, which includes systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure and lane keeping assistance, pre-collision system with detection of vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, and much more.
Novelties by trim level
In addition, there are also new developments in the 2022 Yaris range, which consists of five trim levels: S-Edition (the only one with a combustion engine), Business Plus, Active Tech, Style and Style Plus, although the first and second bring no new features.

On the other hand, in the entry-level version Active Tech with hybrid engine, the new Yaris moves from 15-inch alloy wheels to 16-inch wheels with a more striking design.
In the case of the Style trim, it keeps 17-inch wheels as before, although with this renewal they can be fitted with a black finish which, combined with the Kaji Orange colour, gives it great character.

Finally, in the top-of-the-range Style Plus trim, you will find the new Toyota multimedia system, wireless charger, black wheels, two-tone bodywork, head-up display, blind spot detector and parking assistance system.
Prices of the new 2022 Toyota Yaris
Having reviewed the novelties of the 2022 range, it is time to talk about price.
Firstly, the Yaris S-Edition with the 125 CV engine and six-speed manual gearbox starts from €19,850. With the 116 CV hybrid engine, the Yaris in Business Plus trim starts from €22,200, from €23,100 in Active Tech trim, from €24,900 in Style trim and finally, from €26,650 in Style Plus trim.
