Volkswagen blindly believes in the success of the T-Roc and triples its production
The German firm has increased production of the Volkswagen T-Roc to 200,000 units a year; it expects orders to triple.

The Volkswagen T-Roc is the proposal of the German firm to enter the compact crossover segment. The German model, based on the Golf platform, has all the ingredients to be a bestseller, and at the Wolfsburg company they know it, although for a long time they seem to have underestimated the performance this model could offer them. Volkswagen has announced that it is going to triple production of this model before it goes on sale.
The Volkswagen T-Roc is produced at a plant located in the city of Setúbal (Portugal). Until now the German firm’s forecast was to sell around 70,000 units a year of the crossover, but according to the latest estimates from Jürgen Stackmann, sales chief and board member of Volkswagen, the model will have much greater demand: 200,000 units a year. For this reason, the company that bears the name of the VAG group has anticipated this possibility and has tripled production of the T-Roc so that no one is left without their coveted Golf in the crossover segment.

The truth is that the Volkswagen T-Roc will sit in a rising market segment. The demand for SUVs and crossovers has grown enormously in recent years, and many brands have taken advantage of this trend, such as Ferrari, to turn this type of model into their greatest ally for boosting sales.
In this sense, Volkswagen is trying to offset the shortage of crossovers in its range with the T-Roc, a model that is certain to succeed thanks to its attractive features: we are talking about a crossover with the same length as a Golf (4.23 metres) but with a much bolder and more adventurous design.
