Tacita T-Cruise, the electric road bike for Harley Davidson lovers
Custom motorcycles don’t usually come in an electric version, so the T-Cruise model presented by Tacita is curious, but very efficient and attractive

Road motorcycles are impressive vehicles that make us turn our heads to get a good look at them. If they are custom, even more so, and Harley Davidson is one of the most recognizable brands, not only for its looks but also for the sound of its powerful engines. Tacita is a company specialised in manufacturing electric motorcycles from Italy, but it wants its bikes to become the favourites of those who enjoy riding a American custom motorcycle, and for that reason they have launched the Tacita T-Cruise, an electric motorcycle that has the look of one of these powerful machines.
It is curious that a custom configuration was chosen to introduce an electric motorcycle to a market as demanding as the American one, but this brand dares to do it. The T-Cruise has a fairly impressive look and one expects to feel the power of the engine, although this is extremely quiet and you only notice it in the power and the range.

The engine used by this electric model was developed by Tacita itself and has two riding modes, Sport and Eco. It delivers 30 kW at 8,000 rpm, which equals 40 CV and a constant torque of 70 Nm. The five-speed gearbox is connected to a hydraulic clutch, with the feature that, with the motorcycle stationary, you can change gear without using it, since the motor is not turning. In addition, it can start in any gear, given its continuous torque, and it also has reverse gear to help with manoeuvres.
Looking at the batteries, the model will be available in three versions. The first uses a 7.5 kWh battery, which will cost 10,990 euros. The mid-range version fits a 15 kWh battery, priced at 14,999 euros, and the top version will offer 210 km of range thanks to a 27 kWh battery. This version will cost 24,999 euros.

The batteries can recover 80% in just 40 minutes thanks to the fast charger offered as an option when buying. It can also be recharged with a 16-amp connection, although in this case it will take 7 hours to become fully charged. The batteries are lithium polymer and are warranted for 5 years, operating at a voltage of 120 V.
As for the mechanics, it has a 125 mm fork and dual shock absorbers with preload adjustment at the rear. The brake discs are 280 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear, which helps to control the motorcycle efficiently. What do you think of this electric motorcycle with a custom look?
