Volkswagen ID.7 GTX: up to four new versions of the electric fastback starting from €63,155

The German brand launches four new versions of the ID.7, available for pre-order from 6 June with all-electric all-wheel drive and an output of 250 kW

The All Electric Volkswagen Id.7 Gtx

Volkswagen has unveiled its new model ID.7 GTX in world premiere, an electric fastback that combines performance and innovative design to deliver a unique driving experience. With a 250 kW (340 CV) motor and all-wheel drive, this new model is available in several versions so you can choose the one that best suits your needs, with prices starting at €63,155 for the GTX version.

Power and performance

The ID.7 GTX stands out for its impressive acceleration, going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. This agility is due to its all-electric all-wheel drive, which uses motors on both axles, providing optimal power distribution and improving the vehicle’s stability and control.

The 86 kWh battery of the ID.7 GTX not only offers a long range, with up to 595 km according to the WLTP cycle, but also allows fast charging. At DC fast-charging stations, it is possible to charge from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes thanks to its charging capacity of up to 200 kW.

Design and equipment

The design of the ID.7 GTX reflects its sporty and modern character, thanks to the 20-inch Skagen alloy wheels with diamond-cut finish and the IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, with illuminated Volkswagen logos, which give it a distinctive and futuristic look. The lighting design includes daytime running lights specific to this model, enhancing its presence on the road.

The interior of the ID.7 GTX is no less sophisticated or technologically advanced. The heated seats with red topstitching and the GTX inscription perforated on the backrests add a touch of luxury and exclusivity. In addition, the multifunction steering wheel features red details that reinforce the vehicle’s sporty character. The interior ambience can be personalised with 30-colour ambient lighting, creating a welcoming and modern atmosphere.

Among the technological features, the wireless App-Connect with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the augmented reality head-up display and the IDA voice assistant with integrated ChatGPT stand out. These innovations make it easier to interact with the vehicle and enhance the driving experience. The two-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry and anti-theft alarm system complete the standard equipment.

A wide range of versions

Volkswagen has expanded its ID.7 model range with the introduction of four new versions equipped with 86 kWh batteries: ID.7 GTX, ID.7 GTX Tourer, ID.7 Pro S and ID.7 Tourer Pro S. These models will be available for pre-order from 6 June, with prices starting at €63,155 for the ID.7 GTX.

The ID.7 GTX Tourer shares the same technology as the GTX fastback, but differs in its load capacity. With a boot that can hold up to 605 litres of luggage, the Tourer is presented as an ideal option for families and long journeys. Despite its larger size, its acceleration is almost as quick as the fastback’s, reaching 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and offering a range of up to 585 km.

On the other hand, the ID.7 Pro S and ID.7 Tourer Pro S versions are designed for those seeking greater range. Equipped with the same 86 kWh battery, the ID.7 Pro S can cover up to 709 km on a single charge, while the Tourer Pro S reaches 690 km. These figures place the Pro S models on a par with many combustion-engine vehicles in terms of range.
