Polo Touran Up! Volkswagen Industry SUV
Volkswagen is preparing several off-road models: the Polo Crossover, Up! Alltrack and Golf Alltrack
Volkswagen is continuing the development of its future line of off-road vehicles, and it is not ruled out that the Polo, the Up!, the Golf and even the Touran may get Alltrack versions.

After ending a troubled relationship with Suzuki, Volkswagen plans to move forward on its own in the development of future crossover models and off-road variants of its most representative models. And quite openly, since one of the models generating the most expectation is the upcoming off-road Polo.
About the next Polo Alltrack, it is said it will be a true conqueror of rough terrain: a crossover equipped with permanent all-wheel drive, dual-clutch gearboxes, all-terrain tyres, side and underbody protection, plus a suspension adapted to off-road use, higher and more robust.
Of course, all of this is only a very general reference, but the interesting part concerns engines, since Volkswagen plans a fairly wide range of offers: it is said it will offer four different versions of the “eternal” 1.4 TSI and three diesel engines, plus a variant running on ethanol, another hybrid, another electric and another plug-in hybrid. If you were looking for variety, it seems you will find it here.
On the other hand, there are a few more models in the pipeline, such as a Golf Alltrack with 4Motion system and a similar variant of the Up!, models from which a Touran Alltrack with a four-cylinder engine could be derived, around 2015.
What we hope from Volkswagen is that these announced models are at least genuine off-roaders and not just versions with a higher suspension and nothing more. Obviously we will also have to wait for a redesign before they become compact crossovers or MPVs, something the brand is working on intensely.
